About Us

We grew up in Oregon as athletic thrill seekers, with a fond passion for photography.  We both ran around from a young age, enthusiastically taking photos of nature and all our adventurous outings.  We both took advanced photography during high school, and eventually became competitive collegiate pole vaulters.  That is where we first met.  Photographing pole vaulting was an immediate passion.   We took amazing vault photos, though using film and remaining shy young enthusiasts, most often never had the opportunity to show the athletes our great work.

We have now been married over 6 years, and currently reside in beautiful San Diego County.  For the last several years, we have taken thousands of surfing photos, and been tempted by the urge to go digital, yet didn't want to compromise any of the quality of a great SLR.  Finally we have found a digital SLR, which has proven to combine the best of both worlds.  This has made it possible to share our passion with a significantly larger population.  That opportunity has also allowed us to see the benefit of turning our passion into a business.
